A/N: Sorry for the delay; RL has been a little hectic. It's looking like the fic is going to turn out a little longer than anticipated - five parts instead of four, but I'm not entirely sure yet.

A/N: This fic is an AU of the episode “Crossover;" in other words, it takes the same basic premise and shuffles things around a little. It shouldn't be too hard to follow.

This fic is WIP. It should clock in at around 20,000 words by the time it's finished.

And now, on with the fic! Hope you enjoy. :D

Title: What We Are or Might Have Been (8/?)
Author: Seraphtrevs (My Fic Masterlist)
Pairing: Mohinder/Sylar (...and Mohinder/Peter.)
Rating: R
Genre: Tragicomedy
Word Count: (this part) ~5450
Warnings: Contains depictions of characters suffering from mental illness
Disclaimer: Not mine, no profit made, etc.

Summary: Sequel to Down To This. Company man Sylar has brought a superpowered (and psychotic) Mohinder to the Primatech facility in Hartsdale for treatment. After some finagling, he manages to get himself put in charge of Mohinder's recovery. With Mohinder by his side, Sylar hopes to live his newly minted dream of being Gabriel Petrelli, a Good Guy with a nice house in the suburbs, a loving partner, and a (relatively) honest job. Changing his identity, however, is proving to be much more difficult than he originally assumed, particularly when the people around him refuse to let him forget about his past.

A/N: So we're finally getting to some actual Mylar. \o/ Hope you enjoy!

Things don't go exactly as planned, and Julian and Garak are confronted with the fact that loving someone doesn't mean that you don't also find them massively irritating.

Sorry for the delay! A lot of this fic has changed from my original plans, so chapters are probably going to be a bit slow in coming. I'm working as fast as possible, I swear. And I'm finally accepting the fact that I have no idea how many chapters there are going to be. Somewhere between 10 and 12, probably.

This is a WIP. The astute among you have probably noticed that the chapter count has bloomed from eight total chapters to eleven; I've realized that it's going to take a lot more words to accomplish what I want for this fic. What have I gotten myself into? D:

A/N: This fic is a Volume 3 AU. In order to avoid dragging the narrative down with exposition, I've written an introduction that explains what happened in this universe versus canon.

FUCK YEAH, I finished a fic! \o/ It feels so, so good to finally be writing again. My problem was never so much that I ran out of ideas, because I'm always getting ideas. I "write" in my head all the time. But for a really long time, every time I set down to write, I could not for the life of me translate what was going on in my head to paper. It was immensely frustrating.

But things seem to be fixed now, hooray. Now I just have to find the time to do it. /o\ I seem to have a good routine going right now; I've figured out how to write and feed the baby at the same time. So, twenty minutes here, twenty minutes there - if I manage to get down a couple hundred words, it adds up. (Ha ha, the baby tends to change his schedule on me pretty regularly, so who knows how long it's going to last.)

So "Last Man" is next on the agenda! I've really only got about 8,000 words or so left - I should be able to do that. GO ME, GO!

I have a ton of other plotbunnies, though. Well, more like plot rabbits, since I've already thought them through beginning to end. And I KNOW I can't even think about starting them until I finish up Last Man, but ideas! Are exciting! And man, it's kind of been killing me sitting on these. So, who knows if I'll ever get around to them, but I felt like sharing anyway.
