DAMN YOU POTTERMORE

I finally got the email telling me my account is ready - and then the site won't let me in due to high traffic.

I just want to get officially sorted. And get my wand. WOE.

I'm really hoping they're going to add more dedicated servers to this site. Because the traffic is only going to go up from here.

That's just what I was thinking - if they're hit this hard just from the early entry folks, they don't have a chance once it actually launches. I mean, I know that it's still in beta, really, and we're supposed to be helping them ~shape the Pottermore experience,~ but it seems like "needs moar servers" is something they could have figured out on their own.

Yes, the "If it's Harry Potter and official, quadruple the original estimate on dedicated servers as a bare minimum" doesn't seem like it would be a difficult concept to grasp.

Pottermore did that to me too. Then I rushed through my wand getting so the site wouldn't go down before I could do my sorting. It did. Many times. As far as I can tell, there's only that one opportunity to get a screen cap of the big wand. Wish I'd known that because I didn't take one.
