I wonder if Sylar, if he had known Mohinder, would have still killed Chandra (au) wise.
That would be a really interesting question to explore in a fic. I think that he would have, because I think Sylar views Chandra turning his back on him as a very deep betrayal, and Sylar does not deal with that concept well at all. I think that's why he ended up murdering Elle - he could never get past what she had done. She betrayed him, so she had to die, no matter what else was going on. Same for Chandra, I imagine. (And I don't think that he views Mohinder as having betrayed him in the same way, because he never put his trust in Mohinder - Sylar was lying to him from the beginning, so it was more "oh, you caught me," not "I TRUSTED YOU!!!")
It's like a new slate, his life story of what he had gone through, what he had survived is just wiped clean. There's a lot of significance in that since some wounds can't be healed?
You know, I hadn't really thought of it that way - ahahaha, I should probably pretend that's the way I intended it all along, because that's perfect. ;D
